Good day once again and the rain stayed away despite the forecast . As everybody said our best performance was the first one and we did not deserve to lose to United. The next three were a little frustrating with Alloa on top and ending up losing to pretty soft goals each time. Only pre-season but something to work on perhaps before the real stuff starts.
Plenty of positives from all the new signings. Of the trialists it was good to see Jinky playing a few games and if his ankle stands up to pre-season he is well worth a deal. Shirra is worth another look, he looked very assured in possesion. |

| According to the Advertiser we are at home to Sauchie on Saturday. Should be a decent run out. Still no word on Thursday's opponents? |

Good run out tonight and pretty entertaining for the full 90 minutes. Started with our strongest eleven and played some really good stuff, scoring three without reply by half-time. The front six and McClune all came off after about an hour and it was scr*ppy from then on but certainly competitive. Gormley scored two good goals, the second an absolute belter. Finished 5-1.
The general quality of play was much more creative than last year, some of the intechanging between the midfield and forwards was excellent.
Mick Dunlop looks like he will be a great addidtion. Played the full ninety minutes at centre half and did really well. Very athletic, good in the air and talking all the time.

Just to add it was Bo'ness not the Accies that Alloa played.
Agree with printer, big Mick Dunlop looks a class act. Decent runout, team passing the ball about well and improving as pre season progresses.
Prunty wont be playing in the next 2 friendlies before Dundee game, so that should mean Lister gets a decent runout. |

| Thanks for the reports guys. Were the players who are looking for contracts involved, Gibson, Jinky, Shirra, Somerville etc? |

i didnt really rate that sommerville when i seen him 2nite. hugh kerr played well though, he got stuck in and won the ball back when he lost it a few times. if he keeps it up then i can see him getting a contract. the game on saturday is a 3 o'clock kick off.

| Personally i would prefer Somerville to Kerr, think Kerr is too greedy at times and think overall Somerville looks a better player and is able to play in different positions. |

Dont think Gibson or Shirra played.
Dougie Wilson played in the second half and looked sharp. As mentioned Hugh Kerr had a decent game when he came on as well. Somerville played for the last half hour I think- looked okay, particularly in the later stages, although not sure if he'll get a deal.
Manager reverted to a back 3/5 later on, with Philp, Walker and Dunlop.
Robertson played the full 90 in the goal.
Would like to think that Dougie would get a contract- see how he goes in the first half of the season. |

What team did we start with last night?
Looking forward to the game tomorrow now, hopefully we can carry on the good form and bag a few more goals. |

Robertson, McClune, Walker, Dunlop, McAvoy, Grant, Scott, McDonald, Smith, Prunty and Noble was the starting lineup last night.
Pretty sure Robertson, Walker, Dunlop and McAvoy were the guys who played the full 90. |
