Dumbarton at the Recs |

If ever there was a "must win" ...
Thus far, we have won one and lost two against Dumbarton - all games finishing 3 - 1.
On the plus side, we look to have a fairly full squad - and Dumbarton seem to have had a tough game against Clyde on Tuesday night.
Your thoughts? |

Last game was just one of those nights. When their defence was put under pressure they didnt look too clever at all.
Pacey and dangerous going forward, but I have no doubt we will ask a lot more questions of their defenders if Alloa start as they finished against Brechin. I notice they chop and change their goalkeeper quite often too. Confident of picking up the 3 points here.

Huge game. If we win this one we are practically home and dry. If we don't then the nerves will really kick in for the trip to Peterhead, and we don't want to be going into the Cowdenbeath needing to take anything from that game.
Brechin winning tonight would be a great result for us IMO. Dumbarton would then have no realistic chance of reaching the playoffs and would not have anything to play for.
I expect the team will be really up for it and come flying out of the blocks. If they do we can win convincingly. |

Not sure if Bomber will play on Saturday due to his knee.
We should be confident of getting a result on Saturday. I dont think Peterhead are all that great either- the last time we visited we were on a real bad run and played for a draw that day.
Would have been nice for the result to go Alloas way last night, but not feeling too down about it- we are in the best position by far, and should be more than capable of picking up a win then a draw from our next 2, which I reckon would be just about enough. |

Watched the Albion-Brechin game last night. Stirling were OK, but Brechin just lay down for them. Don't think they do midweek games. One thing is certain, we can't rely on other sides helping us if we are to win this. Thankfully, it's all in our own hands and if we win the last 3 - we're there! |

Albion have 5 games left, a potential 15 points which would give them 69 pts. We have a potential 71 pts. Which means that if we only draw a game and they win all of theirs then it's down to goal difference. Could this be the reason for the high score last night? Sqeaking through those games with last minute goals could yet come back to haunt us. I hope not. |

Why can it not be like the Spanish league and go down to the head-to-head |

Thats good news Donald, I had heard that Bomber may not play on the astro again this season because it may be making his knee worse.
Certainly more than capable of picking up the 3 points tomorrow- I'm confident. |

I'm confident IF we start at a high tempo and taking the game to them. Otherwise it could be a long afternoon.

| Bomber fit but Mark brown struggling he got a sore one at training last nite his ankle is struggling but gilhaney and buist both looked sharp |

| Glad Buisty is fit as he and walker are the best defensive pairing we have. I doubt is McAllister would have got away for the penalty incident if Buisty had been playing last week . |

If Gils looks sharp in training and Andy Scotts ankle is still bothering him, then surely Gils will start the game.
Fair point with the McAllister incident Owen. |

| If Mark Brown is out we may start Bomber in his position and go Scott wide right, Gils wide left. As mentioned some good performances from Gils would be very welcome in the next three games. We are a different team when he plays well IMO. |
