Big interest in this one
3 points is all that matters here- hopefully see Gils and maybe even Gormley get starts for this one. |

| hard game for us but as brian said 3 points are all that matters and i think we should keep the same team that have been doing well the last couple of games. 2-0 alloa prediction prunty and noble scorers. Also can see stirling slipping up at peterhead. |

would be very surpised to see any changes in the Alloa midfield/attack, likely line-up is
Crawford McClune Townsley Walker Welsh Brown Carroll Grant Scott Prunty Noble
This is presuming the Buist is not fit, if he is likely he will play in the middle and Walker at LB.
They will be no pushovers despite the season they are having, no Cowboy team will take defeat lightly. I would happily accept a scr*ppy 1-0 at this stage, might find a similar game to Arbroath a few weeks back.
Though i do think we have the potential to give them a doing, if we click into gear from the start! |

| buist is out for about 2 weeks so welsh will go into lb and walker will be at ch i think bomber will be fit as he trained lastnite big call for the gaffer to make if he puts him in but he is a big player for us |

I can't see Bomber starting this one. If he's having a bit of bother with his knee, and it effects him more on the artificial pitch, we'll save him for the following two games which will be more difficult.
I'm confident of a win tomorrow, and just for once I'd like to see us score more than twice.
He's big, he's round, he's worth a million pounds.....Peter Lamont.

After todays performance i wouldn't say that was 3 points lost but more 1 point gained, an absolute terrific goal to end a game of football.
I had relatives up from england at their 1st alloa game today, they left the ground happy and impressed with how we played..... imagine if we played like we can!
On a sourer note, that little sh*t that kicked the ball out the ground twice needs his head examined!
looking forward to the tuesday tie... weather permitting

A terriffic goal at the end from David McClune. One of the best goals at the Recs for a long time.
I thought overall we were very lucky to escape with a point as Clyde were by far the better team for an hour of the game. Once Brown Ferguson came on we applied a bit of pressure and started playing better. However for the first hour Clyde looked like the team at the top of the table.
However the pleasing thing is that we played poorly and still didn't lose. The number of late goals we have scored lately demonstraights that we are fighting right to the end of games and this is a good sign.
The referee and officials were an absolute disgrace yesterday. If someone whacks a penalty kick 10 yards over the bar , it doesn,t matter a jot if the keeper moves. To order a retake was an absolute joke. The standard of refereeing has been in the media and press over the course of the season and the performance of them yesterday only highlights as to why. However justice was done when the player missed, and perhaps if you can't score with 2 penalty kicks, Clyde blew their chance of beating us. Alloa denied a stonewaller also when Noble was tripped in the box.
Clyde have a chance still of escaping the drop as they were by far a much improved outfit since we last played them in October. Cowboy McCormack has improved them and the teams above them are hardly blazing a trail at the moment. They reminded me of us back in 2006 when were were all but relegated and had 10 points at the start of Feb. With Alan Maitland recently appointed , we escaped the certain drop via the play offs and went on a run of wins. Clyde certainly looked up for the fight yesterday and closed us down well.
Stirling dropped points yesterday also and with our showing yesterday, there is still a long way to go. Glad I witnessed Goal of the season yesterday and anyone leaving the ground early must be absolutley sick. |

I must agree with most of the points on here but i do not think Clyde were the better team overall what we got was open honest football where both teams played attacking football.
Clyde will be agreeved at not holding out to the end but they were under pressure for the last 20 minutes despite having a good chance to convert the penalty. Reidford rode his luck a couple of times as Alloa struck the bar and he also made a brilliant save just before we got the equiliser reminiscent of Hoydonk and Goram but this just added more excitement to the game.
However this must be the only game of football i have been at where the fans have contributed to the demise of their team when that a**ehole of a Clyde supporter kept kicking the ball over the railway fence to try and waste time, John McCormack has openly criticised the referee questioning where the extra 5 minutes came from well i can tell you cowboy it was in the shape of a young f****y with a white and blue hoodie on. Do not blame the ref blame your own supporter. |

Fantastic entertainment and a last-gasp goal that made the score just about right. AM and Cowboy swopped verbals the whole game and had to have a security man standing between them as it threatened to boil over. We were let down badly by the midfield; Grant and Carroll weren't winning balls and gave no supply to Prunty and Noble. Punts from the back were soon in use, but chasing long balls is never going to win games. With Bomber struggling to put in a full shift now, the manager will have to look at a strong, dominant midfielder in the close season. Felt sorry for Prunty yesterday. Got no support from the ref as he was climbed all over and kicked for his troubles by the Clyde back four. Very poor ref yesterday with many strange decisions. Pity, as the last ones we've had did OK and were renewing my faith in referees. David McLune marked his 100th appearance with his normal reliable show, but his 30-yard screamer at the death will stay in the memory for ever. A wonderful goal.
